Backstory
Ferox was a cruel Demon Lord, ruling over his domain with malice. His power was far above any other demon because any demon in a position of authority draws power from its subordinates. This power fades away when a subordinate dies or revokes their allegiance. As the demon lord, he drew power from every demon in his domain. His spirit is protected by an immortality spell, allowing it to survive even if his body is destroyed...
Luna
Luna was 3 years old when the Lucia Inferni campaign began. As village after village fell to the approaching demons, many people fled from Terminus Village. The clergy remained as their duty was to help the people especially in the darkest times...
Gameplay
In the beginning scene of the game, John Eques finds himself in a room with glowing crystals and a witch. He doesn’t remember where he is, what he was doing, or even who he is; he only remembers his name. Upon talking to the witch, he discovers that they are in a world of magic and monsters. John finds out that the witch, named Luna, had felt a mana distortion, and found him unconscious upon investigation. She brought him to her magic shop for him to recover.
Luna sends John on some errands and notes that he completes the errands quickly and easily, suggesting that he might have been an adventurer before supposedly losing his memory. She then introduces him to her apprentice Rin and suggests that he and Rin form an adventuring party...
